A common response to my book title is, “But I’m not a First Lady.” I encourage you to focus not on the title, but on the call. Every believer is called to a purpose greater than themselves. My calling happens to be that of a First Lady, but yours may be to evangelism, teaching, or encouraging the body of Christ. Whatever God calls you to, He is faithful to complete it in you. This book shares experiences through which the Lord cultivated my calling, and I believe these insights can help illuminate how and why God moves in our lives according to His purpose. If you are called to be a First Lady, you will relate to the role personally. If you are a congregant, this book will help you understand the vital role of the pastor’s wife in supporting the vision God has given her husband and in equipping the congregation. No matter how you connect, my prayer is that this book, along with the work of the Holy Spirit, will prepare and position you to walk confidently in your God-given call.
